David E. Schlackman specializes in the areas of complex commercial and business litigation and real estate law including contract, business tort and zoning and land use disputes. Mr. Schlackman also represents high net worth individuals in divorce and other matrimonial and family law matters. He has experience in business transactions, construction law, fidelity and surety law and bankruptcy, as well as extensive experience in all aspects of state, federal and appellate court litigation, arbitration, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Schlackman was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1998, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in 1999, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
He has authored various articles and lectured in the areas of construction law and related issues.
Mr. Schlackman is a 1998 graduate of Wayne State University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with high honors, from Michigan State University in 1995.
